I’m really a summer girl… I’m just not a fan of cold weather. But I took this picture during our most recent vacation and I love it.
I love the “newness” of fall — it almost seems like a fresh start to me. Maybe it’s from my days of going back to school in early September… I’m not sure.
And if it wasn’t the pre-cursor to the season I like least each year, I think I would actually enjoy the fall!
I love the pumpkins laid out across lawns (the ones still in tact — not those strewn across the roadways), I love the little scarecrows guarding the soon-to-be dormant gardens. I love the changing colors of the trees and the leaves crunching under my feet. I love sipping hot chocolate cuddled on the couch as the wind whips through the trees.
I just wish that it came at a different time of year so I could focus on all these wonderful aspects of the season instead of knowing that it just means the dreaded “s” word (snow) is just around the corner….
Do you think we could we swap spring and fall? lol!
