One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up is its generous spirit. With each new catalog there is a stamp set designated to serve as a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Each “Very Thankful” (Page 209 of the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog) set sold this year will raise $2 for the cause. To date, the company has contributed nearly $800,000 to that cause.
There’s a playground in Utah that has a soft cushy “ground” made of excess rubber from Stampin’ Up stamp sets. The mat of rubber keeps kids safe when they fall off swings, head down the slide head first or miss the bar when climbing on the jungle gym.
Stampin’ Up has helped during 9/11, Hurricanes Katrina & Rita and the American Heart Association.
And now with the devastation in Haiti, Stampin’ Up is stepping forward once again. For every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set sold (from the Occasions Mini Catalog) Stampin’ Up will donate $2 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development fund. Here is the stamp set:
I actually don’t own this set (shocking, I know!), but I plan to order it to do my part to help out. In addition, I will donate my commission (20 %) on any of these stamp sets I sell and on ALL online orders I receive from now through Feb. 28 to the American Red Cross.
So check out my website and see if there is something you might be able to use and help out a good cause at the same time!
In the meantime, my thoughts and prayers are with all those suffering in Haiti and those here in the U.S. (and all over the world) who are still searching for their loved ones.
