Happy Monday! Did you have any time this weekend to get crafty?
I managed to make three cards in honor of World Card Making Day (on Saturday). However, I didn’t actually make them on WCMD… I was lazy on Sunday and didn’t get dressed until 7 p.m!
But that means I had plenty of time in my craft room… cleaning, planning and creating.
I’ve got a lot of events coming up in the next few weeks so I wanted to play with the new hostess level 2 stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog, called Snow Buddies. I really like this set — it is too cute!
I made the card above first and it features the Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Mini Catalog as well. The bottom red and white piece is flocked — so it feels like felt!
The Snow Buddies stamp set has two snowmen in it, so I decided I wanted to make a Mama and a baby snowman celebrating the holidays:
This last one is non-traditional Christmas colors, but I was playing with the Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper and thought the colors had a cool sort of snowy look (Ok, so you have to use your imagination a bit here ;o). I also decided there was no reason why I couldn’t have more than TWO snowmen celebrating:
