Good afternoon! Happy Saturday before Mother’s Day. My thoughts are definitely with my Mom today. She hasn’t been feeling well and has been staying up at Beth Israel trying to find out what is going haywire in her system. I hope the doctors find some answers soon!
In the meantime, I puttering around in my stamp room. Tidying. Cleaning. Browsing. Stamping. A little of everything. Part of that cleaning includes saying goodbye to a few of my favorite stamp sets that are retiring with the close of the 20111-2012 Idea Book and Catalog, which ends on May 31.
One of my favorite stamp sets to see go this year is Winter Post. And while it is not the holiday season right now, it truly is one of the sets that made me release an audible “Oh” when I read that it was going this year. Check out some of the cards I’ve made with this beauty:
I think this last one was my favorite. The stamp set really didn’t look like much in the catalog, but had so much potential! It was a great stamp set for winter themed cards and scrapbook pages, too. I loved the snowflake in that set. It looked beautiful even when it was just stamped solo on an envelope… a great hint to the reciever that something special was inside that envelope! Here is the whole set of stamps in the set (click on the link): Winter Post Stamp Set – by Stampin’ Up!
